Expressive Photographics recently made a donation of services, supporting fundraising efforts for the Bonny Doon Community School Foundation. You may have read the earlier article about it here. I am happy to announce that the lucky high bidder on our donated photography package has used it for one of our fabulous Santa Cruz Senior Portrait sessions! I hope you will enjoy this collection of just a few favorite shots from this portrait session, at Vigné Farms Equestrian Park, in Bonny Doon. When Lisa contacted me about the photo session, I was immediately excited about the opportunity to photograph at Vigné Farms Equestrian Park, because I had been hearing how gorgeous it is from several people. When I arrived, I immediately knew we were going to have a blast shooting among the open meadows and towering redwoods. Lisa’s daughter loves horses, and especially her own beautiful horse, which also stars in this photo shoot. I now have another favorite spot for capturing our Santa Cruz Senior Portraits – or any kind of portraits for that matter. A big thank-you to Vigné Farms, Lisa, her daughter and one amazing horse, for allowing me the opportunity to create this collection of senior portraits!

Before we get into the photographs, I want to share just a bit of the back-story on this photo shoot. Our contribution, along with many other excellent items, was available to the highest bidder in the silent auction at The Bonny Doon Art & Wine Festival, last June. This fun foodie-art event supports programs for the arts and music, at The Bonny Doon School, and has been running for eleven years now. It was great to be able to help support education in the arts, and I hope to contribute again next year. When it comes around again, in 2014, you can get info and tickets for the Bonny Doon Art & Wine Festival by clicking here. If you know of a worthy organization or cause that might be interested in having us donate a portrait session for their fundraising auction (sorry, no raffles), please get in touch with us! We donate to four or five organizations every year. The photography does not have to be Santa Cruz Senior Portraits, and can be any type of photo shoot we do, including family portraits, family reunions, babies, individual sessions and more.

Now… Here are those beautiful senior pictures!

I could not be more impressed with Photographer Mark Stover's talent and professionalism. From the photo session at Vigne Farms (so much fun), the emails, the website, the blog, the overall meticulous detail and efficiency, I'm overwhelmed, usually it's me waiting for the information, but with Mark being so on the ball with his business, I have so much to view and choose from, the overall experience was a sheer delight. It all started when we noticed Mark's very generous donation to the Bonny Doon Art & Wine event, which was our 1st time attending, and we loved every minute, great event, well worth the $50 ticket,. We anxiously hovered the bidding war for his business, and now we cannot thank Mark enough for the experience and for capturing these amazing shots we will cherish for a lifetime.... Thank you Mark!

Thank you Lisa! I enjoyed working creatively with you and your daughter, and her beautiful horse. I am looking forward to taking the next step on this project for you - showing you all the cool options and kinds of archival prints, albums etc we can create for you. We will also be providing you with a custom-printed archival portrait, printed on our standard photographic paper, which is rated to last up to 200 years. This archival portrait was part of the auction package we donated, and I'm excited about creating that finished product for you! Just let me know when you're ready.
